Each year, the Downtown Optimist Club awards six $1,000 scholarships to local high school seniors.  All graduating seniors from the four public high schools in Columbia, MO (Battle, Douglas, Hickman, Rock Bridge) are encouraged to apply.

Applications are due by March 1, 2024! 

All of the following are required to have a full scholarship application. See the application for further details:

1. Completed, signed and dated application Click Here.
2. A typed essay.
3. Official school transcript with GPA.
4. Two signed, sealed reference letters from non-family; no more than one from school personnel.
5. Do not send any additional information or pages.
