Upcoming events for April and May for the Downtown Optimist Club
April 19th An extra Oratorical Contest with kids from Zone 1 and Zone 2 coming in to use our clubhouse.
3th Qtr. Conference in Chestfield, MO is Friday, April 29th and Saturday, April 30th at Durry Inn. This is the qtr. that you will the winners from around the different zones in the East Missouri speakers and the essay winner essay too.
April 30th from starting at 5:30 pm Sunrise Optimist Club Trivia and Silent Auction at their clubhouse
In May
May 7th from 12 to 4 at COMO-Bethal Park, we will help the Special Olympic kids with a Fishing Derby
May 7th from 6:30 to 11:00 pm Hallsville Optimist Club Trivia at Bob Lemone Building in Hallsville, MO Cost for a team is $120
May 14th from 8 to 11 am will our Bike Safety Rodeo at Karis Church Attach the flyer
May 18th from 5 to 8 with 2 shifts, which are 5 to 6:30 and 6:30 to 8:00 pm is Family Fun Fest at COSMO Park with a theme of “Bee Kind to Your Mind”. We will have an information booth there
May 28th from 10 to 5 pm there is NOW get together for ZONE 1, 2 and 3 at the Sunrise Optimist Club. There will brats, hamburger and drinks provided and side dishes will come club member in each zone. Cost is $10.00 for the food and donation to play in the corn hole tournament. Our zone is support to be bringing desserts to this party. Attach the flyer
Reminder Rick is looking for drives for Sunday, June 12 for the Soap Box Derby. Will bring a sheet for sign up to drive the kids back up the hill with their cars.
There will be 2 high school scholarship giving out each high schools in Columbia. They are Battle, Hickman, Rock Bridge, and Douglass High School.
