Members attend in person President Tony Parisio, Jake Jolley, Red Leighton, Ken Oster, Ed Musterman, Mary Dewey, Rick McKernan, John Jones, Ed Musterman, Steve Winter, Steve Klien, C.O. Scheffer, Pat Brown, Deb Swanegan, Carl Scott, Mike Hachett, and Jerry Sullivan. By Zoom Scott Stager, Guest were Deb Swanegan 3 grandsons, Cody Crown and Speaker Aaron Thompson.

Rick Musterman paid the pig $1.00 for the KU winning the National Champion and Carl Scott paid $5.00 for all the KU programs.
Jerry Sullivan that this Saturday, March 12 from 9 to 12 will be clubhouse cleanup day. Jerry would like the Thank the following members who helped that day clean up and put in some of the kitchen cabinets. They are Jim Murphy, Carl Scott, Ed Musterman and Jerry Sullivan.
Tony also like to Thank Ed Musterman and Jerry Sullivan for ordering the food for our luncheon here for our meetings.
John Jones let us know that he is taking a new job in Wichita, Kansas. He will be leaving in 2 weeks.
Upcoming events for April and May for the Downtown Optimist Club
April 19th An extra Oratorical Contest with kids from Zone 1 and Zone 2 coming in to use our clubhouse.
3th Qtr. Conference in Chestfield, MO is Friday, April 29th and Saturday, April 30th at Dury Inn. This is the qtr. that you will the winners from around the different zones in the East Missouri speakers and the essay winner essay too.
In May
May 7th from 12 to 4 at COMO-Bethal Park, we will help the Special Olympic kids with a Fishing Derby
May 14th from 8 to 11 am will our Bike Safety Rodeo at Karis Church Attach the flyer
May 18th from 5 to 8 with 2 shifts, which are 5 to 6:30 and 6:30 to 8:00 pm is Family Fun Fest at COSMO Park with a theme of “Bee Kind to Your Mind”. We will have an information booth there
May 28th from 10 to 5 pm there is NOW get together for ZONE 1, 2 and 3 at the Sunrise Optimist Club. There will brats, hamburger and drinks provided and side dishes will come club member in each zone. Cost is $10.00 for the food and donation to play in the corn hole tournament. Our zone is support to be bringing desserts to this party. Attach the flyer
Reminder Rick is looking for drives for Sunday, June 12 for the Soap Box Derby. Will bring a sheet for sign up to drive the kids back up the hill with their cars.
There will be 2 high school scholarship giving out each high schools in Columbia. They are Battle, Hickman, Rock Bridge, and Douglass High School.
